Select cells and ranges

• Click a cell to select it. Its reference, such as A1, appears beside the formula bar.
• Hold Shift and click another cell, or drag across cells, to select a rectangular range.
• Click a row number to select that visible row.

A blue outline marks the active cell. The lighter area shows every cell included in the current range.

Copy and paste like a spreadsheet

1. Select one cell or a range.
2. Use Ctrl+C on Windows or Command+C on macOS.
3. Select the destination cell and paste normally.

Copied blocks use tab-separated rows, so they can move between FigureCheck, Excel, and Google Sheets. Pasting one value into a selected range fills every cell in that range.

Drag to fill values or formulas

Select a cell or range, then drag the small blue handle at its lower-right corner. FigureCheck repeats the selected pattern through the highlighted destination.

Relative formula references move with the copied formula. For example, dragging =A1*2 down one row produces =A2*2. Review the filled cells before interpreting the graph.

Automatic saving and graph refresh

After you pause typing, the table is saved to the current FigureCheck session in the background. Browser autosave then records the updated project, and signed-in users also receive the normal cloud autosave.

When you open Figure, FigureCheck saves any final edit and refreshes the graph from the latest table. A visible status reports Saving, Saved automatically, or a specific formula problem.

Automatic saving protects the working copy, but it does not replace good scientific records. Keep the original measurements and document corrections or exclusions.
